The USQ Fraser Coast campus is located at Hervey Bay, a half-hour flight or three and a half hours drive north of Brisbane. The Bay is a great location for international students, with a superb climate, calm waters, pristine beaches and relaxed lifestyle. Bordered by 40 kilometres of beautiful, calm beaches, the Fraser Coast region has a population of approximately 95,000. Hervey Bay's population of 52,000 is increasing rapidly as people continually move to the region. Just off-shore lies the World Heritage-listed Fraser Island, which is the largest sand island in the world. A unique natural environment, Fraser Island has unspoiled beaches, rainforests and fresh water lakes - all attractions for eco-tourists from around the globe. Hervey Bay has become known as the whale-watching capital of the world. Humpback whales and their calves rest and play in the Bays sheltered waters between August and November. Hervey Bay's esplanade is lined with a range of street cafes, fine dining restaurants and clubs. You can enjoy barbecues on the impressive foreshore or hire bicycles, jet skis and canoes, while swimming in the safe protected waters of the Bay.
The campus is within walking distance to shops, sporting facilities and the calm bay waters, which are perfect for diving, swimming, snorkelling, boating and fishing. Just over 700 students are enrolled at Fraser Coast, catering to small class sizes. The campus prides itself on personal face-to-face teaching and supportive distance learning. It has state-of-the-art technology and provides ready access to global information and resources. USQ Fraser Coast is one of the country's fastest growing campuses and is located in one of Australia's most rapidly developing and beautiful regional cities.

Established in 1967, the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities. The University of Southern Queensland (USQ) has forged a reputation as one of Australia's leading providers of on-campus and distance education programs in Australia. The University is also home to a number of leading Australian research centres including the Australian Centre for Sustainable Catchments (ACSC), the National Centre for Engineering in Agriculture (NCEA) and The Centre of Excellence in Engineered Fibre Composites (CEEFC).
The Graduate Pathways Survey conducted by the Australian Council for Educational Research has placed USQ graduates among the top performers for salaries, career destinations and student satisfaction with their studies.
USQ has a diverse student population, and welcomes international students from more than 100 countries each year.
On-campus facilities include computer labs, a library, banks, a travel agent, a coffee shop, a restaurant, a pub, a bookstore, a post office, a cafeteria, a stationary store, a hairdresser, a sports hall, five sports grounds and tennis courts. International students form a significant part of the total on-campus enrolment of the university.
programs allow students to participate in reciprocal exchanges with students at ISEP member institutions worldwide, while paying their home university tuition. Students attending US universities that are ISEP-Exchange members are eligible to apply for these programs at other international ISEP-Exchange member universities. Chances of placement vary by location.
programs allow students to enroll directly in a host institution abroad, instead of exchanging places with another student. Chances of placement are typically excellent for qualified applicants and some sites offer special academic programs and excursions. Students attending US universities that are either ISEP-Exchange members or ISEP-Direct members can participate in ISEP-Direct programs abroad.
