Profile

Founded in 1361, the University of Pavia is one of the oldest institutions of learning in Europe and one of Italy's most prestigious. Romanesque towers rise above the university"s neoclassical Piazza, Leonardo da Vinci, where students attend classes. Total enrollment: 28,000.

At the University of Pavia, we believe in the high quality of the education, research, services and quality of life that students enjoy in their host city. We also value the completion of studies, a facilitated entry into the world of work, and leisure with recreational, sport and cultural activities available.

ISEP-Exchange programs allow students to participate in reciprocal exchanges with students at ISEP member institutions worldwide, while paying their home university tuition. Students attending US universities that are ISEP-Exchange members are eligible to apply for these programs at other international ISEP-Exchange member universities. Chances of placement vary by location.

ISEP-Direct programs allow students to enroll directly in a host institution abroad, instead of exchanging places with another student. Chances of placement are typically excellent for qualified applicants and some sites offer special academic programs and excursions. Students attending US universities that are either ISEP-Exchange members or ISEP-Direct members can participate in ISEP-Direct programs abroad.
