Program Description:
   

Program Overview

The USF Herd of Thunder Marching Band has received a prestigious invitation to march in the 2017 Rome New Years Day Parade. In addition we will be performing in Frascati, Italy, in St John's Lateran Catholic Cathedral, and in St. Peter's Square in front of the Vatican. In addition to our performances, we have several days of sightseeing planned including Vatican City, he Catacombs, Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Pompeii.

Program Costs

 The United HealthCare Global Insurance cost is $1.53 a day and is billed at a daily rate. There is also a Security and Safety Monitoring charge which is:

$30 for travel/trips of 14 days or less
$40 for travel/trips of more than 14 days up to 28 days
$50 for travel/trips of more than 29 days 


These charges will be posted to your USF Account to allow for convenient payment through your OASIS account. If you need to have it posted to a grant or department, please contact the Education Abroad Office for assistance.  If your department or college will be handling these charges, please disregard paying.

Medical Insurance and Travel Documentation

USF provides program participants with sickness/accident and emergency medical evacuation insurance valid for the dates of the program. Those who will travel independently, either in advance of the program or after the program ends, must ensure that they have insurance coverage valid outside the U.S.
