Education Abroad Scholarship Application (Scholarship Program)

Program Description:

USF WORLD BULLS ABROAD AWARD

Eligibility:  All students interested in studying abroad during the Winter, Spring, Spring Break, Maymester, and Summer terms are eligible to apply.

Amount: $2000
Type: Need-based, first come, first served
Requirements: Students must have completed the FAFSA to be eligible.

Priority Deadline: October 1st
Applications will be processed in the order they are received.

Application Process:

Students can apply through the USF Education Abroad portal through this application. The scholarship can be used for any of our faculty-led, affiliate, or exchange programs. In order to receive the scholarship, students must commit to and pay the initial deposit by specific dates. Student who fail to commit or deposit by the specified dates will be removed from the applicant pool 

Application Timeline:

  • October 1st 

    • Priority Scholarship Application Deadline 

  • October 2nd
    • Qualified Priority Applicants will be notified of their selection.

  • October 13th  

  • October 20th
    • Deadline for Priority Applicants to commit their study abroad program.
      • Priority Applicants who fail to commit to their selected study abroad program by this date will be removed from the applicant pool.
  • October 21st
    • Round 2 Waitlist Applicants will be notified of their selection.
  • October 28th
  • November 4th
    • Deadline for Priority Applicants to pay the initial deposit for their study abroad program.
      • Priority Applicants who fail to pay the deposit for their selected study abroad program by this date will be removed from the applicant pool.
    • Deadline for Round 2 Waitlist Applicants to commit their study abroad program.
      • Round 2 Waitlist Applicants who fail to commit to their selected study abroad program by this date will be removed from the applicant pool.
  • November 5th
    • Round 3 Waitlist Applicants will be notified of their selection.
  • November 12th
  • November 18th
    • Deadline for Round 2 to pay the initial deposit for their study abroad program.
      • Round 2 who fail to pay the deposit for their selected study abroad program by this date will be removed from the applicant pool.
    • Deadline for Round 3 Waitlist Applicants to commit their study abroad program.
      • Round 3 Waitlist Applicants who fail to commit to their selected study abroad program by this date will be removed from the applicant pool.
  • December 1st
    • Deadline for Round 3 to pay the initial deposit for their study abroad program.
      • Round 3 who fail to pay the deposit for their selected study abroad program by this date will be removed from the applicant pool.

Please Note: Applicants must submit a complete study abroad program application by the deadlines above or they will be disqualified from the selection pool.
Additionally, it can take several business days for the Education Abroad Program Advisors to review applications before they can be accepted. If you wait until the commit deadline to apply, your application will not be approved in time and you will end up disqualified. 
So please apply to your programs as soon as possible.
