Program Dates: February 15 - March 10, 2017
Students will spend several days seeing the architecture and urban situation in Tokyo and Kyoto.

Stanley Russell is an associate professor in the USF School of Architecture and Community Design. Russell spent 14 years working as an architect in Japan and has been a visiting faculty at Kanagawa University in Yokohama for the past four summers. He has led Summer programs in Japan from USF and from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Students will stay in Hotels in Tokyo and Kyoto. Travel will be on public transportation.

You will be responsible for reserving and purchasing your international transportation to Tokyo. Japan. It is highly recommended students arrive in country on the same flight as the faculty. Please DO NOT purchase your air ticket until you have received an email from your Program Advisor prompting you to do so.
USF provides program participants with sickness/accident and emergency medical evacuation insurance valid for the dates of the program. Those who will travel independently, either in advance of the program or after the program ends, must ensure that they have insurance coverage valid outside the U.S.

U.S. citizens going to Japan on this program need a passport valid for the intended dates of travel (Last Updated: July 2015). For more information, see the Department of State website for Japan.
