The Elementary Science Teaching Course is designed by the University of South Florida (USF) to fulfill the needs expressed by the National Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation (SENACYT) and educational leaders of Panama. The government of Panama has approved a cohort of 50 primary teachers to enroll in this program to begin April 2017. Through a series of three professional development experiences, Panamanian teachers will benefit by learning effective elementary science teaching practices and elementary science content to apply directly to their instruction.
